Even today, numerous buildings and scenic features bear witness to an interesting mining history in the region. The Friends of the Mining Museum have made these mining traditions clear at prominent points with explanatory boards. The 43 stations of the nature trail give a lasting impression of the mining region. On this tour you will also visit the towns of Lugau, Oelsnitz, Hohndorf, Gersdorf and Niederwürschnitz. The mining museum is the most important of the 43 traditional sites that can be found along the mining educational trail in the Lugau-Oelsnitz mining area.
