There is a very big parking lot here with bathroom facilities. It's where most people park while they traverse the trail. You have to pay to get into the park, so it's naturally a more secure and privileged place to park than if you were to park outside of the park. This parking lot is occasionally used for events such as Star-gazing and is used when there is an event in the Lone Star Amphitheater nearby. The only unfortunate thing is that there is little to no shade in which to park.
