'Tower descriptionThe 13 m high tower in neo-Romanesque style was built from a lookout tower with no lighting option. The round tower was built as a crenellated watchtower with a towering, pointed side tower (naturally slate) with a weather vane.The wall thickness of the tower is 0.70 m.On the keystone on the front there is the year "1900", above it is a plaque made of Weser sandstone with a Gothic inscription"To the First Chancellor /

The city of Höxter "appropriate.A stone-covered bronze Bismarck medallion (made in the Gladenbeck foundry in Friedrichshagen) was placed above the plaque.Three steps lead to the arched entrance area of the tower on both sides, which is not closed by a door. From there you can reach the inside of the building via two stone steps. A left-turning sandstone spiral staircase with 28 steps leads to the oriel tower, and a further 11 stone steps (clockwise) to the pinnacle viewing platform with eleven pinnacles ... '
