From the plateau of the Hesselberg it's just down steeply, then left on the linden tree and right down the trail. Continue down then left (very narrow trail).
    Continue to follow the trail.
Either direction Wassertrüdingen or as I Ehingen. If you are out of the woods just drive on the road about 200m here on the right and after 200m right again take the dirt road back up to the mountain.

The trail from this side (between Lentersheim and Röckingen - Schlössleinsbuck) on the Hesselberg - just fantastic!

Lentersheim is a settlement named after its founder "Lanthar" from the Allamannic-Franconian conquest of the 5th / 6th centuries. Century. The first wooden church was probably built as early as the 6th century.

In 1331, the monastery of Heilsbronn was given the parish patronage by Count Ludwig von Oettingen. In 1336, the slope of a property came to the monastery, which was originally the property of Anna von Lentersheim. In 1342 the local pastor Heinrich Bolans donated his fields to the monastery. In total, the monastery acquired slopes from 11 estates and the tenths.

During the Thirty Years' War, Lentersheim was badly hit, but not cremated. Before the war there were said to be 60 households in Lentersheim, after the war there were 28 households. For the resurgence of the place v. a. the numerous exiles who had to leave their home in Austria because of the Counter-Reformation and found refuge and the chance for a new start. [4]

Lentersheim was located in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach district office in Wassertrüdingen. Towards the end of the 18th century there were 64 subordinate families, 63 of whom had Ansbachian offices as landlords. [5] From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the judicial and chamber office Wassertrüdingen.
