Poklijuka Gorge

Hiking Highlight

Lush forest, natural rock formed bridges, holes, caves and narrow passages between 50 meter walls. The Pokiljuka Gorge is free to enter and is part of the Triglav National Park. Wear stout footwear and take walking poles especially if it rains. Guidance is given to wear a helmet in case of rockfall but we did not see evidence of any recent rockfall or sight of anyone wearing a helmet. The gorge is not particulary busy and presents a quiet place to contemplate the power of nature.

The dry canyon is really worth a visit. Towering rock faces, pristine paths and shadows on hot sunny days.
In addition: relatively few people compared to all other highlights in Bled.
