The Strength of the Women of Bagnara: History and Legends of the Bagnarote

After the earthquake of 1783, the small community of Bagnara Calabra was destroyed like so many small towns in the province of Reggio, the women became orphans and widows of their husbands: fathers, husbands, brothers did not give up working hard to create a new Bagnara again based to a large extent on matriarchy, a real social renaissance of the community that saw the Bagnarote as protagonists of a new development of the city.
