The Harderbroek is a nature reserve that was created in 1974 in the municipality of Zeewolde as a swamp and pond area. The area is 187 hectares and is managed by the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten.

The Harderbroek is an important habitat for rare birds such as the bittern, egret, spoonbill and bearded male.

The area has varying water levels because it consists of three levels. Forest has been planted during the construction on the extreme western side and on the northern and eastern sides. The swamp part consists of wet grasslands. reed beds and open water. On the east side is a willow brook, which has arisen by itself and has not been built. Within the willow forest there is a dry rough area. In addition to the forest, the eastern part also has dry brushwood with scrub and dry grasslands, but this also occurs on a smaller scale in other parts. Furthermore, the old fairway to Harderwijk runs through the area. There are also two art objects in the area, one of which is an observation hut.
