Jolly Roger, the pirate galleon
At the tender age of ten, Andrea Longo constructed his first wooden ship model with the firm belief that one day he would build such a full-size ship. It was a galleon with many small cannons and sails made of hemp. His greatest wish was to bring the old pirate world back to life and to enable other children to immerse themselves in the world that had fascinated him so much, as he did as Captain Hook.
As an adult, he did not give up this idea, which arose from the typical creativity of a child. After countless difficulties and setbacks, in 1998 he finally managed to realize his dream and created the Jolly Roger: his first pleasure galleon.
Over the years, his galleon has become the absolute icon of animation on the beach and to this day, on its 20th anniversary, the activities of the Pirate Cruise at Sea attract numerous tourists and fans who love to immerse themselves in the world of pirates and of us into a fascinating parallel world.
