In 1650, a chapel dedicated to Saint Blaise and Saint Isidore was built in Heinerscheid.
Both the chapel and the Quirinus Church were dilapidated, and in 1788 a new church dedicated to Saint Quintinus was built in the village. This church was demolished in 1937 after a new, monumental church was consecrated in 1932. However, this church was blown up during the Ardennes offensive on December 31, 1944.
