🌼 In these meadows, in the month of May, you can admire the beautiful flowering of wild daffodils (Narcissus poeticus).
📖 The name of the species comes from the Greek mythological character Narcissus, Νάρκισσος (Narkissos) and from the term ναρκὰο (narkào, narcotic). Some indicate that it may also derive from the Persian term Nargis. Both terms are used to refer to the strong and pleasant smell of the plant's flower.
⚠️ Remember that it is absolutely forbidden to tear them: the wild narcissus is part of the rare and therefore protected botanical species.
