Prayer house in a prime location (157 meters altitude)
The Saint-Christophe chapel is a small prayer house built at the crossroads 'La Caplette' in the hamlet of La Houppe (Dutch: D'Hoppe).

According to a tradition, the relics of Saint Christopher (1260) were brought from the Middle East by the Countess Marguerite of Hainaut (known as 'of Constantinople') and especially to the church of Flobecq.
However, everyday folklore has mentioned a 'St. Christopher'.
The famous procession of the Giants of Ath still includes a stilt walker illustrating the holy Bearer of Christ.

From the current chapel, a remnant of this dedication, a chapel of brick and limestone was built in 1913-1914 on the initiative of Céline de Harveng on the top of the Pottelberg, 157 meters high.
Maybe something to attend: A blessing of pets (horses, dogs, etc.) is organized in the month of October.
