Together with more than 400 different trees and shrubs, it is located in the Groenendaal Arboretum, one of the 26 Belgian botanical gardens and arboreta. The Groenendaal Arboretum was constructed at the end of the 19th century at the initiative of King Leopold II.

Hiking

The Groenendaal arboretum is one of the oldest in Belgium and was built in 1897. Commissioned by Leopold II.e, there are more than 400 different trees and shrubs, including 'thick Eugène', a 6 meter thick poplar. The arboretum has a beautiful relief, which makes it pleasant to walk.
