The history of the Leszno–Góra Śląska railway line dates back to the early 20th century. The line was opened in 1916, but passenger traffic was launched in 1917. This connection was serviced by the Legnica–Rawicka Railway. In 1920, after the state border was established, the Leszno–state border section was closed, and in 1922 the tracks on this section were dismantled. After 1945, the remaining part of the line was dismantled.
