A wooden church once stood here, but it was replaced by a stone church in 1720. An architectural extension followed in the years 1928 to 1929, which led to the church building as it is today.

In contrast to the plain white of the outer facade, you will experience a colorful splendor inside the church with unusual decor. The nave as well as the organ and the chapel of the church were painted quite colorfully by two local artists. In addition to the colorful design, creative work was also done on the shape of some of the church furnishings. The pulpit is modeled on a boat and the baptismal font has the shape of a shell.
