The local history museum in Langelsheim is housed in a large, two-storey half-timbered building that once served as a secondary school. It is a museum of local and regional history with many interesting exhibits.
Opening times: every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 10.30 a.m. - 12.00 p.m., every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 3.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m

The museum was founded in 1979. In its collections, it specializes in depicting regional history and economy. The in-house print shop and the forest room with charcoal dumplings and 100 taxidermy animals are outstanding.
