There are some unusual memorial stones. Here is one in memory of a work colleague who was killed by the other. The following can be read on the stone:

Born September 1st, 1833 here in the Dachsberg am
1/28/1898
killed by his employee Karl Konrad 4. from Rainrod as a result of an exchange of words with the rod hoe while building forest paths. Konrad was sentenced to death and executed in Giessen.
Karl Zinnel, son of Johann Georg Zinnel, born on August 29, 1868, was severely injured in the head here in the Dachsberg as a forest worker on November 31, 1917 while felling a tree from a spruce tip. He was taken to the train station in Rainrod in a horse-drawn sleigh.
He succumbed to his injury while being transported by train to Gießen.In memory 1998family Zinnel
