The elf grotto was built by WTV Sontra in the so-called gutter before the First World War. With the material support of the city, a grotto complex with a two-meter-high fountain was created, which was constantly fed with well water from the springs above. Before the First World War, WTV Sontra dance events took place here (formerly Gosse). To this day, the facility is still in operation in a slightly different form and is an attraction for young and old.
There is a (hiking) car park and the small/reptile zoo Sontra right next to the elf grotto.
