Mount Margaret is a small rocky mountain that has nothing to do with the high mountains of Colorado. however, the path to get there is pleasant, it follows a sandy trail.

The landscape around Mount Margaret differs quite a lot from the mountain forests and steep slopes of the neighbouring Rocky Mountains. From the summit you can have a nice view of the rocky ridgelines of the surrounding mountains, the open and dry grasslands and lush forests.

Mount Margret is a 7,946-foot mountain that stands above the scenic Red Feather Lakes. While the trail up is generally not technical, it's a very steady ride up, and a fun - but sometimes sandy - descent down. This summit is a great way to add some elevation to your day of riding around Red Feather Lakes.
