The Illa de l'Aire Lighthouse was inaugurated in the summer of 1860 and during its construction the boat carrying the workers capsized and one of them drowned. When its tower was built, it was the tallest of all the lighthouses on the Balearic Islands, until the Moscarter lighthouse was built in Ibiza in 1977.

This part of the GR 223 is just as beautiful as all the others, however, there are more villages: is meaning you don't have to carry that much water but it is also not that lonely.
