The Sopot River in Roztocze is a charming, small tributary of the Tanew, known primarily for its picturesque waterfalls and rapids. The biggest attraction is the “Szumy nad Sopotem” reserve, where the river creates numerous small cascades, the so-called szumy, giving it a unique character. The route along the river is a popular tourist trail, leading through the wild forests of the Roztocze National Park. It is a great place for hiking and cycling, especially in summer, when nature presents itself at its most beautiful.
