The Church of San Mamés is located in Navajeda (Entrambasaguas) and is a building with a hall floor plan and follows traces of the 16th century, attributed to masters from Siete Villas, being built throughout the 17th century.
At the beginning of the 19th century, as a result of the fire of Nuestra Señora de los Llanos in 1825, a chapel with a square floor plan and a painted ellipse-shaped dome was built, the work of Miguel de Pozas, with a neoclassical altarpiece that follows the traces of Bonifacio del Cagigal. and Manuel de Villar. The church houses a main altarpiece contracted to the master assembler Juan Martínez de Cantileras in 1664, which, despite its late date, follows Mannerist models.(Data extracted: iglesiasdecantabria.blogspot.com/2009/03/iglesias-de-navajeda.html)
