This wildly romantic hut is embedded in a rock basin and lined by the glacier formations of the Ruan at an altitude of 2,100 meters. An ideal stopover for hikers on their way to the Dents Blanches or the Dents du Midi.

Hiking

A very slow but intense start of our tour. Quite upset by the amount of snow left in the mountains. Though the views were still astonishing. We took some nice rest at Bonavau refuge and got local refresh drinks , 7cimes with citron and herbal lemonade (with ortiche). This night we are staying at Cabane Susanfe, it’s a very small and cozy hut, but unfortunately with no shower available. The light diner we had, was a vegan and oriental soup and rice with ”lenticchie”.
