From the place called Les Vollants between Lans and Saint-Nizier starts a path that allows you to reach the Pas de la Bergère or Pas de l'Echelle, depending on the source. This path rises in less than 2 km to the mouth of the Combe de St-Nizier under the Plateau des Ramées. The trail is steep and strewn with quite slippery rocks.
