The sloping sculpture garden with an area of four hectares was created in 1980. It is a total design by landscape architect Gilbert Samel, in collaboration with artist Pierre Zvenigorodsky. Eighteen metal, concrete or stone sculptures appear along the winding paths and around the water surfaces. Anchorage, an assembly of anchors by Arman, stands opposite the bluestone Pleureuses by Eugène Dodeigne; Deux Arcs de 204° chacun in painted steel by Bernar Venet serves as a counterbalance to the multicolored fish by Karel Appel.
