This tender statue of 1.60 m, on the pavement in front of the bridge keeper's house, is the work of the Dutch sculptor Sjer Jacobs, born in 1963.
It is an enlarged reproduction of one of his works in the city of Middelburg (Netherlands), called Sofia. What a beautiful invitation to kiss in this city famous for its love courts in the time of Countess Marie de Champagne and the courtly love novels of Chrétien de Troyes!
