After the liberation of the southern Netherlands, the Anneville Estate became the residence of HRH Prince Bernhard until April 1945, when he had his headquarters in Breda.
After his departure, the Anneville Estate became the residence of H.M. Queen Wilhelmina for about six weeks on 3 May 1945.
H.M. Queen Wilhelmina heard the news of the capitulation of the Germans in the Netherlands here.
