Hohenstein Castle

Well-preserved castle on a dolomite rock, probably from the second half of the 11th century. From the landmark of the Franconian Jura (also the highest point at 634 m above sea level) you have a wide panoramic view that, in clear weather, extends as far as the Fichtel Mountains. The castle is open from March to November on Sundays and public holidays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
