Castello di San Michele

The Castle of San Michele with its 4 towers is visible from any point in the village. In the center you can see the Keep, the oldest part of the castle, a strategic point at the time of the Romans to watch over the troops of the Carthaginians.
It is a Norman-Swabian age construction, rebuilt at the behest of the Aragonese nobility and transformed into a noble residence in the eighteenth century.
It was a strategic structure throughout the feudal period, and then became a place of worship - with the Church it hosts - as well as a place for recreation: for years, in fact, in the days of celebration of the Archangel Michael (8 May and 29 September) it remained live the tradition of picnics at the Castle of San Michele.
