Special category port and considered one of the most demanding in western Asturias together with Bobia and the stick. This is the most popular and documented variant, as well as the star climb in some edition of the Sacagüeyos. It starts at the pulley bridge at 90m high, passing through the Bustantigo port and several "brañas", there are 3 chained ports. Acceptable asphalt and no traffic. After Lendequintana there is a rapid descent without a guardrail where extreme caution must be exercised. Some hard sections, but rarely exceeds 15%. Corona with a beautiful panoramic view of the Pola de Allande valley and the Sierra de Somiedo in the background

Nice pass from Pola de Allande that takes you to Bustantigo via Brana el Campel along a stunning road with views to the Ancient Roman gold mine "La Freita" to your left. Alternative route to descend to the magical village of Pontenova sitting in a deep valley to then return along a steep climb to Montefurau. Continue back to Pola de Allande vial El Palo or towards Berducedo. Plenty of options.
