The architecture of the church building is characterized by the baroque remodeling of 1907, even if it contains older building components.
From the Reformation until 1955, the Michaeliskirche was a simultaneous church, which was used jointly by the Protestant and the Catholic community. Since the completion of the neighboring Evang. Trinity Church is St. Michael's only Catholic parish church.

Hiking

Until 1955, the Evangelical Christians used the Michaeliskirche (simultaneum) together with the Catholic parish. The parish church of St. Michael was built in neo-baroque and Art Nouveau-like forms in 1908 in place of a previous building. There is a large ceiling painting in the dome. The high altar is classical, the side altar baroque.
