The bridge over the Rino constitutes the connection between Almè and Villa d'Almè. In 1960 the Rino stream that flowed under the bridge was filled in to create Via Dante Alighieri.
The line service and the station infrastructures were managed by the Società Anonima della Ferrovia Elettrica di Valle Brembana (FVB), which was awarded the concession on 15 October 1903.
