The Roman Catholic, listed parish church of St. George is in Holnstein, a district of the town of Berching in the district of Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz.

The essentially Romanesque hall church consisting of a nave and a retracted, semicircular apse in the east was extended to the west in 1893. The square-plan church tower on the north side of the nave was extended with an octagonal storey housing the tower clock and the belfry in which three church bells hang.

The steeple is topped with a pointed spire clad with clapboards. The façade on the west is divided into three fields by pilaster strips connected below the eaves with an arched frieze. In the central area is the portal, above which the statue of St. George with a boy scout is placed in a niche.

The interior of the nave is covered with a coved ceiling decorated with stucco. Above the apse rises a lunette vault, whose fresco comes from Michael P. Weingartner. The altar retable of the high altar, on which Saint George is depicted slaying the dragon, and the Stations of the Cross are also by him. The concave high altar is flanked by two columns each, in front of which are the statues of John Nepomuk and Saint Sebastian.

The parish church, which has its beginnings in the Romanesque period, rises in a dominant position. At the end of the 19th century it was expanded. A typical baroque country church of this region.
