Sant Amand Cross

Formerly according to legend it was the castle of the mountain.

the Creu de Sant Amanç or Amand is about 150 m away. in a straight line (SE) from the summit itself and about 25 m below.
From this point the views are spectacular, that's why they call it the Ripollès balcony. To the west we can see Pedraforca and Berguedà, to the south, Ripollès, Plana de Vic, Montserrat, Montseny ... To the east, the Garrotxa mountains. Just as the residents of Sant Joan de les Abadesses traditionally tend to climb the Taga (because it is the mountain seen from Sant Joan), the Ripollesos feel especially linked to Sant Amanç (because it is the mountain range seen from d 'there). Every year, both municipalities run popular races and excursions to these peaks.
