Hiking
The town's name goes back to the Roman Canobinum (border area). Borderland between Lombardy, Piedmont and Ticino. Cannobio is described by historians as a very old and flourishing village, thanks to its intensive trade relations.
The wealth of the Middle Ages is still visible today in the historic center around the Gothic town hall from the end of the 13th century.
