Idyllic mountain village with many figurines, beautifully situated with a wonderful view over Lake Maggiore. The hiking trail that continues behind the village is very beautiful, but with a section of chains and a river crossing, it is only recommended for those with surefootedness.

The artists' village Ronco was very worthwhile for me to look at, already on the way there (about 100m) before, all kinds of illustrious figures are waiting. We started from Cannobio at the beginning of the village near the bus stop. Beautifully renovated houses, lovingly and imaginatively designed gardens or squares and fantastic views of the Lago complete the positive overall impression of Ronco.

Beautiful route! We had not studied the route well enough and had to walk back along the highway for the last part, which was extremely dangerous and actually impossible. I would advise avoiding this.
