Like Beulbar and Gerega, Ilmsdorf is on the old trade route to the Gleisefurt-Quere. At that time, these hamlets were popular stops on the route. Now they live from the seclusion and the beautiful nature and take advantage of the new traffic conditions.
Ilmsdorf was first mentioned on September 7, 1358. The hamlet was one of the villages mentioned in the missionary parish of St. Georgensberg. The monastery and the trade route caused these places to be economic points and stations for help and support of traveling people and animals. (Source: Wikipedia)
