Over a period of thirteen years, Erika Zuchold developed into one of the most successful gymnasts of all time. On June 7, 1964, she was the first gymnast in the world to do the flick-flack (hand support rollover backwards) on the balance beam. In the years after her sporting career, which ended in 1972, Erika Zuchold was a seeker and devoted herself to art.
