The PCT northbound from here is still closed to protect endangered species! You will have to walk Highway 2 for approximately two miles to Buckhart Camp where the Buckhart Trail connects to the PCT again.

Great starting point for hikes along the PCT / Silver Moccasin Trail to both sides of the Highway. The Bobcat Fire closure has been mostly lifted as of April 2022, though the area can be seasonally closed to protect a range from species. Check fs.usda.gov/recarea/angeles/recarea/?recid=41842 and other sources before going.
