A visit to the port of Ipswich is definitely worth it. Here you can not only admire countless yachts, but also eat well. There are countless restaurants and cafes on the Waterfront. If you want to explore more, you can also take a tour of the River Orwell from the harbor - one of the most beautiful rivers in England.

It is a top spot to grab a bite to eat or a coffee. The Grazing Sheep is a pleasant Italian cafe overlooking the harbour. Towards Ipswich centre there is a great community cafe called La Tour, serving coffee, pastries and also hosts a small art gallery.

I live on Ipswich Waterfront and most of my exercise, due to lockdown, is here. Worth knowing that it is now closed to vehicles to make it easier to use for exercise, although walkers and runners need to keep an eye out for cyclists as who uses path or road is very mixed! It gets very busy on warm or sunny days, so if you want to exercise you are best off getting out early if you want to be able to socially distance and keep moving. There are still occasional vehicles and when the hotel and bars/restaurants open again there are likely to be more, despite being prohibited at the moment. There is an active consultation on making the road closure to vehicles permanent.
