Starting at the parking lot at Highway 173 you can hike along the iconic Pacific Crest Trail for about six and a half miles to the famous Deep Creek Hot Springs. To get to it, YOU WILL HAVE to ford the Deep Creek just under a mile from here. There is no bridge at this point, so depending on the water level, the Deep Creek is just ancledeep or will reach up to your hips. So the information by Traveler is not entirely correct.
