The Isenach was moved to the east over a length of 1,440 m. Here it was given space for its own dynamic water development. In addition, the terrain was modeled as a retention area. The average width of the area is 90 m. The old Isenach bed was removed and also serves as retention in the event of a flood. The city of Frankenthal also used the project to balance the water supply. The whole area was developed close to nature and forms a valuable stepping stone in an intensively used agricultural landscape.

As a result, the entire area has been upgraded and given a much more natural character as a result of the measures. The implementation of the goals "improvement of the structural quality of the Isenach" and "connection of the brook and floodplain" as well as "provision of retention areas" could be guaranteed with the implemented measures.

The project sponsors included the city of Frankenthal/Palatinate, the municipality of Bobenheim-Roxheim, the Structure and Approval Directorate South, regional office WAB Neustadt/Weinstr. and the DLR Rheinpfalz.
