The Salzgittersee is THE recreational area in Salzgitter. On the east side there is the boat harbor and the pirate playground (with children necessarily there!), In the northeast the Reppnersche bay with the Café del Lago. The ambience here is a bit 'upscale' and with sweaty cycling clothes you are a bit 'underdressed'. The Karl Nestvogel path stretches on the west side. About halfway to get to the water ski cable car with a shot down snack and the sundeck on which you feel comfortable as a cyclist.
