Bicycle tour on asphalt road to the origins of Ostrach. An ideal bike tour as a starting point for ambitious outdoor enthusiasts or to work out after work.
We start our 16 km bike tour through the Ostrachtal in the middle of the manageable 600-person village of Hinterstein at the local bus stop. We first follow the Giebelstrasse with a view of the Allgäu Alps downhill briefly, then we continue to the Ostrachtal without any noteworthy height difference. After a first climb, we pass the Konstanzer Jägerhaus, which also offers a first stop.
We follow the steadily rising asphalt road, which infallibly brings us closer to our goal, the gable house, until we finally pass the so-called "Auelekraftwerk". Now the most strenuous and steepest climb is waiting for us, namely the Eisenbreche. Once at the top we can enjoy a breathtaking view of the stream bed of the Ostrach, which has meandered through the mountain for thousands of years.

We have already done most of the things and leave a small chapel on our right hand side until we finally see the gable house on the tar road - always following the Ostrach. Once there, a rustic stop for refreshments awaits us.

We cycle back to Hinterstein on the asphalt road.
