Ev.-Luth. Johanneskirche in Mißlareuth, first mentioned in 1289 and in 1358 as a branch church of St. Lorenzkirche zu Hof (the latter is the easternmost mother church or original parish of High Franconia or the diocese of Bamberg); Romanesque origins with Baroque interiors; the button on the top of the tower formed a trigonometric point of the 2nd order of the Royal Saxon triangulation (No. 157 of the Saxon land survey between 1862 and 1890);
