This point is more south than the northernmost point of Bavaria in Fladungen. The northernmost point of Bavaria is in the Fladunger Streuwald (Rhöngrabfeld district) and on the "Green Belt" in the Rhön Biosphere Reserve and thus logically also directly on the border with Thuringia.
