The Starenturm was built to defend the grapes from birds and is therefore located in the middle of the vineyard. On the top floor of the Starenturm, grape guardians have their post. The birds are scared away by noises. Visitors can climb a few meters up a staircase to have an even better view of Lake Constance and the Alps from there.
