With the renovation of Paseo Juan Aparicio, this monument, a tribute to the man from Torrevieja, was moved a few meters to its current location. The work of the Catalan sculptor Josep Ricart y Maimon, it was inaugurated on May 10, 1975. It represents the link between the people of Torrevieja with the sea. A monument that has been the background of many selfies of tourists visiting the city for more than 45 years.
