Beautiful baroque hunting and pleasure palace. Can be booked for weddings, meetings, etc. The Marian pilgrimage church and monastery are also in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately, the industrial area also borders directly on the railing of the Hermitage - and only a few meters away, 2 huge concrete silos spoil the picture!
Addendum: The Hermitage was once bought by the Badische Gesellschaft für Zuckerfabrikation and served for a long time as a factory administration and factory apartment.

A beautiful place. The silos will now probably be torn down. Kind of a shame. The contrast is remarkable and there used to be a sugar factory here.

Here you can take a little break in the cafe and have a look at the Hermitage. The Waghäusel monastery is also nearby

The short bike path to the left and right along the stream is also highly recommended ...

A piece of history in Waghäusel next to the former sugar factory or next to the monastery. There's a cafe there.

The cornerstone of the Hermitage in Waghäusel was laid in 1724 by Hugo Philipp von Schönborn, Prince Bishop of Speyer. As early as 1720 he had moved his residence from Speyer to Bruchsal and started building the palace there.
In their Waghäusel Hermitage, in the immediate vicinity of the pilgrimage church and monastery, the prince bishops of Speyer sought both peace and quiet for religious exercises and relaxation through hunting.

The pilgrims' old accommodation is next to the pilgrimage church a popular place to go to relax and unwind.

Baroque hunting and pleasure palace built from 1724. Nice to look at when you hide the remains of the old sugar factory next door.
