The Cresmina Dunes are part of the Guincho-Cresmina dune system, located in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park in Portugal. This dune system spans 66 hectares and is considered unique due to the prevailing northwesterly winds, which cause the sand from Guincho and Cresmina beaches to return to the sea approximately 5 km south, near Guia, after migrating over a flat, rocky, and largely uninhabited area of Cabo Raso.

Hiking

The dune system is located in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and covers an area of almost 66 hectares. The strong wind in the area transports the sand far inland. You can cross the dunes on wooden plank paths.
