“The sower” was made on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the AVRO in 1948 and against the facade of the studio building in 1951. It is intended as a tribute to those who have propagated the objective of the AVRO in a very special way. The name comes from the South African word 'uitsaaien' = the transmission of radio waves.
